I come from Uganda a country with a variety of cultures which have different dress codes. Today i wish to share with you my own culture by showing you how we dress.

I come from the central region of Uganda among the baganda as a tribe. we speak luganda and it's one of the most spoken languages in Uganda as a country.

At times our cultures are different but i think that if only we can only accept, respect and feel proud of our own cultures, others will also be proud of it. This is because some people find it hard to accept their own culture but i want to pose a question "if you are not proud of where you come from, then who will?"

I personally think that at times we should put up days where people can freely communicate with others from different places as its through that, that we can learn about other cultures from diffente regions.

WHO ARE WE
At times i wonder how the pliticians take the citizens for? Are they their battle grounds because they instill a sense of hatred among themselves by claiming that we belong the a certain party and they start fighting each other. What amuses is that they themselves can not ditrectly involve them selves in riots.

Take an example of Kenya from politics to tribes but the people they are fight for to show their support are not even in the country yet people are dying! Threfore i pose a question ARE THESE PEOPLE REALLY WORTH OUR OWN LIFE AND BROTHERHOOD? Since we are killing our selves and being displaced to neighbouring countries where we are deprived of our rights and privacy yet the people we are trying to please are not even their to witness our suffering.

Fellow citizens, let us just join hands and fight that kind of politics where we loose our lives on others behalf and they gain at our own expense which is paid by own kinsmen blood.

Africa should fight for Peace
Africa's problem stems way back in the colonial period. The white employed the divide and rule policy in Africa so as to win particular groups of people to his side. All in the name of fulling his aim of exploiting Africa's rich resource. Today tribes are against each other. Religion has been politicised to an extent that a King in Buganda must be a Protestant/Anglican. Take for example the Democratic party in Uganda, a catholic muganda will be given first priority when it comes to party president. In the UK. the royal family comprised of the Anglicans. Its no surprise today that the very seed sown by the white man has breeded fruits.

Violence is everywhere. Its almost impossible to have peaceful elections in Africa. Our leaders are products of the past and we are the victims. The nation is bought by the dead is the motto of African Politics. I think its high time you mature up and adopt a kind of politics that doesnt have to shed blood in order to get pewer. I f we truly speak democracy and respect for human rights, then its high time we begin to stand for what we believe. It begins right from our families.
